A newly refurbished, self-contained apartment in the village of Stoke Holy Cross, 5 miles from Norwich. It has its own entrance, a king bedroom, a second bedroom with one or two singles, a separate kitchen, a cosy lounge and a bathroom with both a bath and a large rainfall shower. French doors open onto a private, enclosed garden, so dogs are welcome too. Quiet, comfortable and work-ready, with a desk and off-road parking. Ideal for work trips, couples and small families.

The space

The Mustard Pot is a self-contained wing with its own front door, recently refurbished to a high standard with a nod to its Norfolk heritage. Nothing is shared, so it feels like your own small home.

Lounge
A bright, comfortable lounge with a Smart TV and French doors straight out to your private garden. It's a calm place to work during the day and to unwind in the evening.

Kitchen
A new, separate kitchen with integrated appliances, including a dishwasher, fridge-freezer, oven and hob, plus everything you need for breakfast or a home-cooked dinner. There's also a washing machine.

Bedroom 1
King-size bed with quality linen and plenty of storage.

Bedroom 2
A single bed, with a second single added on request, so up to 4 can stay in total. Just let us know when you book.

Bathroom
A full-size bath and a large walk-in shower with a rainfall head.

Outside
The garden is enclosed and just for you, with an artificial lawn and a table and chairs. Off-road parking is included.

Included
Bed linen and towels. The bathroom has a bar of hand soap and travel-size shampoo and body wash to get you started.

Bringing your dog
Well-behaved dogs are very welcome at £25 per dog, up to 2 dogs per stay. The enclosed garden means they can safely go straight out, and there's a secure field for walks just down the road.

The neighbourhood

Stoke Holy Cross is a friendly, well-served village just south of Norwich, with a local shop, pubs and a coffee shop within walking distance.

Norwich is about 15 minutes away by car or bus, with its cathedral, castle, lanes and market. The southern Broads and the walking trails around Framingham Earl are close by, and the countryside around the village is good for walks straight from the door.

House rules

Check-in is from 4pm and checkout is by 10am.
A maximum of 4 guests can stay.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome at £25 per dog, up to 2 dogs. Please keep them off beds and sofas and don't leave them alone in the apartment.
No smoking or vaping inside the property.
No parties or events.
The owners live next door, so please keep noise down in the evenings and after 10pm.

Guest access

The whole apartment and its garden are yours. There are no shared spaces.

Check-in is self-service, so you can arrive at your own pace. The Mustard Pot is set back behind gates and can be tricky to spot the first time, so we'll send clear directions with your check-in instructions, 24 hours before you arrive.

Interaction with guests

We'll give you your privacy, but we're always close by. The Mustard Pot is looked after by the Xscape Staycations team, and we're available by message throughout your stay if you need anything at all. If something needs fixing, just let us know and we'll sort it as quickly as we can.

You'll receive directions and check-in instructions 24 hours before you arrive, along with our local recommendations.

Other things to note

The apartment is a separate wing next to the owners' home. It has its own entrance, garden and facilities, and nothing is shared.
Bedroom 2 has skylights, so it gets light early in summer.
Reliable Wi-Fi throughout, so it works well for remote working.
