A modern, single-storey bungalow in Pakefield, a five-minute walk from the beach. Two king-size bedrooms (one en-suite), a big open-plan living space and a fully enclosed rear garden with a private hot tub. Everything is on one level, both gardens are secure and well-behaved dogs are welcome, so it suits families with young children, couples sharing, and anyone bringing the dog for a coastal break. Off-road parking on the drive.

The space

Rosedene has been fully renovated and everything is on one level, so there are no stairs to think about with toddlers, older guests or dogs.

Living and dining
The open-plan living area is the heart of the bungalow, with plenty of seating, a Smart TV and a sound system for film nights, plus a separate dining area for meals together.

Kitchen
Well equipped for proper holiday cooking, with a gas hob, oven, integrated dishwasher, Le Creuset cookware and a coffee machine. There is also a washing machine for beach towels and holiday washing.

Bedroom 1
King-size bed with its own en-suite. French doors open onto the gated front garden.

Bedroom 2
King-size bed, with a door straight out to the rear garden and hot tub.

Shower room
The main shower room has a shower, basin and WC.

Outside
The rear garden is fully enclosed and private, with the hot tub and outdoor seating. The front garden is gated too, so children and dogs can't wander off. There is off-road parking on the drive.

Included
Bed linen, bath towels, spare duvets and blankets. Each bathroom has a bar of hand soap and travel-size shampoo and body wash to get you started.

Bringing your dog
Well-behaved dogs are very welcome at £25 per dog, up to 2 dogs per stay. The bungalow is set up with dogs in mind, with hard-wearing furnishings and a Dyson for tidying up.

The neighbourhood

Pakefield sits on the southern edge of Lowestoft and still feels like a seaside village. The beach is a five-minute walk away and is dog-friendly all year round, with long walks along the shore and views out to sea.

The Jolly Sailors, which has a large garden that children love, and the Trowel & Hammer are both within walking distance for a meal or a drink.

A short drive takes you to Africa Alive, Pleasurewood Hills theme park and the arcades on Lowestoft's South Pier. Oulton Broad, the gateway to the Broads, is nearby, and Southwold is around 20 minutes away by car.

House rules

Check-in is from 4pm and checkout is by 10am.
A maximum of 4 guests can stay.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome at £25 per dog, up to 2 dogs. Please keep them off beds and sofas and don't leave them alone in the bungalow.
No smoking or vaping inside the property.
No parties or events.
Please keep noise down in the garden and hot tub after 10pm, out of respect for our neighbours.
Please only flush toilet paper down the toilets.

Hot Tub Rules
For everyone’s safety, the hot tub is cleaned, drained and refilled between every booking. By booking, you agree to:
• Shower before using the hot tub
• No fake tan, oils, soaps or bubble bath in the water
• No glass. Plastic cups are provided
• No smoking, vaping or pets in or near the hot tub
• No children under 5. Over-5s must be supervised at all times
• Don’t use if you’ve had sickness or diarrhoea in the last 14 days
• Max 4 people at a time
• Replace and lock the cover after use
Contamination (e.g. fake tan, glass) requiring an extra drain and deep clean will be charged

Guest access

You'll have the whole bungalow to yourselves, along with both gardens, the hot tub and the parking on the drive.

The rear garden is fully enclosed and the front garden is gated, so it is a safe space for children and dogs. Check-in is self-service via a key-safe, and full arrival instructions are sent before your stay.

Interaction with guests

We'll give you your privacy, but we're always close by. Rosedene is looked after by the Xscape Staycations team, and we're available by message throughout your stay if you need anything at all. If something needs fixing, just let us know and we'll sort it as quickly as we can.

Other things to note

The hot tub is fully drained, cleaned and refilled before every stay. Because it is filled with fresh water, it may take a few hours to reach a comfortable temperature after you arrive.

Please bring your own towels or robes for the hot tub, and keep the bath towels for indoors.

Each bathroom has a bar of hand soap and travel-size shampoo and body wash. For a longer stay, you may want to bring your own as well.
