A two-bedroom holiday home in the Suffolk village of Elmswell, with a bright conservatory looking out over the garden. There's a double room and a single room, so up to 3 can stay, plus a lounge, a kitchen, a shower room, a garden with a patio and parking for one car. It's quiet and comfortable, with Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket a short drive away, and suits couples, solo travellers, small families and anyone working in the area.

The space

Barbers Row is a comfortable, well-kept holiday home in a quiet Suffolk village, with a lovely conservatory as its best feature.

Lounge
A cosy lounge with comfortable seating and a TV.

Conservatory
Bright and airy, with a dining table and views over the garden. A lovely spot for breakfast, meals or reading in the afternoon light.

Kitchen
Equipped for self-catering, with an oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, kettle, toaster and coffee maker, plus a washing machine.

A modern bathroom with a shower, basin and WC.

A garden and patio with a table and chairs, and one free parking space.

Included
Bed linen and towels. The bathroom has a bar of hand soap and travel-size shampoo and body wash to get you started. There are portable fans for warmer days.

The neighbourhood

Elmswell is a friendly village in the middle of Suffolk, surrounded by countryside and footpaths. It has a Co-op food store, a pub and its own railway station.

Bury St Edmunds, with its abbey gardens, cathedral, market and Greene King brewery, is a short drive away, as is Stowmarket. It's a good base for exploring mid-Suffolk's villages, country walks and historic market towns.

House rules

Check-in is from 4pm and checkout is by 10am.
A maximum of 3 guests can stay.
Sorry, no pets.
No smoking or vaping inside the property.
No parties or events.
Please keep noise down after 10pm, out of respect for our neighbours.

Guest access

You'll have the whole house, the conservatory, the garden and the parking space to yourselves. Check-in is self-service, and full check-in instructions are sent 24 hours before you arrive.

Interaction with guests

We'll give you your privacy, but we're always close by. Barbers Row is looked after by the Xscape Staycations team, and we're available by message throughout your stay if you need anything at all. If something needs fixing, just let us know and we'll sort it as quickly as we can.

You'll receive your check-in instructions 24 hours before you arrive, along with our local recommendations.

Other things to note

Both bedrooms are upstairs, with one flight of stairs.
The second bedroom has a single bed, so the house sleeps a couple plus one, or up to three adults.
Working in the area? Longer stays are welcome, so send us a message and we'll help.
The bathroom has a bar of hand soap and travel-size shampoo and body wash. For a longer stay, you may want to bring your own as well.
